Lo hizo en una gira de dos d\u00c3\u00adas por la Liguria, que finaliz\u00c3\u00b3 hoy.<\/p>\n<p>Entre mil y tres mil personas, seg\u00c3\u00ban fuentes de la Polic\u00c3\u00ada y de los organizadores, reclamaron el respeto a la laicidad del Estado italiano en una manifestaci\u00c3\u00b3n que transcurri\u00c3\u00b3 por las calles de G\u00c3\u00a9nova. Simult\u00c3\u00a1neamente, el Papa celebraba una misa en la <em>Plaza del Pueblo <\/em>de Savona, donde seg\u00c3\u00ban los medios de comunicaci\u00c3\u00b3n locales se congregaron unas 30.000 personas bajo una fuerte lluvia.<\/p>\n<p>La manifestaci\u00c3\u00b3n fue convocada &#8220;en defensa de la ley de plazos del aborto, objeto de continuos ataques; contra la homofobia; en favor de los derechos de todas las formas de familia y para recordar los privilegios de que goza la Iglesia Cat\u00c3\u00b3lica, como la asignaci\u00c3\u00b3n que recibe del impuesto sobre las personas f\u00c3\u00adsicas o la exenci\u00c3\u00b3n del IBI&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>En la homil\u00c3\u00ada, Benedicto XVI record\u00c3\u00b3 la aparici\u00c3\u00b3n de la Virgen de la Misericordia a un campesino en 1536, y la devoci\u00c3\u00b3n a ella de P\u00c3\u00ado VII.
